Don't Give Up.

As its been some time since I wrote on this blog, I did think about forgetting it and not doing it anymnore. I have only written a few posts and nobody has read any so it wouldn't really matter. I then went on a read someone elses blog, I love reading blogs and usually go back to when it started. I love reading about people who are into vintage styles and vintage homes etc, its like picking up a book and wanting to ready the whole thing before I put it down again. From what I have noticed of these blogs they all seem to have started a couple of years ago when blogging was all in. As the years have past the posts get less and less, I now wait with anitipcation for them to write again, to see how they are and what they have been up to.

As for people reading mine, well as I said I have only been doing this a little while and with only 3 or 4 posts its not surpising nobody has read it. I think I need to stop worrying about it and keep writing it for myself. I suppose its like a diary, you write in that but don't expect anyone to read it and comment.

Christmas is finally over, the decorations are down and back in the loft, it looked nice when it was done but after a while the dust settles underneath and thinks just look a bit cluttered. Especially after the boys have opened all their presents and everything is covered in new lego, Action Man, jigsaw puzzles and umpteen Cadbury selection boxes (I'm sure I can help clear those away :-)).

I do enjoy Christmas but get very down when all you see is sale adverts on TV, children wanting this and that and everyone thinking about jollying up for the New Year. What happended to Christmas and the real meaning of it. Its not always possible to get out and celebrate, especially when we have all had the dreaded lurgy and my husband only had Christmas day off then has been at work until New Years day. He has 3 days off so finally enjoying his company and help playing with the boys and keeping them occupied. (I'm knackered). We all went to ToysRus today to spend their vouchers and buy "more toys".

I can now get back to normal (hopefully) and start planning what I want to do with the house, I did start on the conservatory but its now full of boxes and material and all my craft stuff. I decided to have a craft stall in
November and went mad on making lavender bags, pillows, Christmas decorations, stockings etc etc, it certainly helped with the expense of Christmas. I apologise to those who don't appreciate home made gifts but I enjoyed making them and if you don't like them, tuff. I even bought hand made items from craft fairs for some of my family, handmade jewellery is really nice and I think special, I also made a lovely friend who makes this jewellery. Hope to see her again sometime in the New Year.

Now the icicles (lights) are gone from the kitchen shelf, I'm off to search Ebay for some Chilli lights that I can keep up in the kitchen all year.

Take care and I'll be more jolly and positive next time I post.
